Forgive The Beatles Sgt. Pepper reference, it came out of nowhere but just
felt appropriate, so given the “occasion”, I’m sticking with it as this

Ille St Louis is nice to wander around. The DK guide had a nice walk around there (we nabbed it out the library). Next Door is Notre Dame (which shocked us by being free to enter and free to take photos, we're used to Canterbury ...).
If you're into Stained Glass I'd try and get a visit to the Saint Chapelle, inside the Palace de Justice. We went and were inpressed! The have Guided tours in English every I think 30mins ish (we went for the french one as it was going and my sister was happy to translate anything I didn't understand (which wasn't that much thankfully). If it had been bad to start with in the lower part we were just going to hang on for the english verison).
I also liked walking around the Marais. Mind you all these bits were a stone's throw from where we were staying.
From a trip yonks ago, the Musee D'orsay is nice if you are into that style of art (which my dad is so that's why we went, I really liked it too.)
use the buses to get around then you see whats around you...better than the metro. The student quater was good for meals loads of good resturants with set price menus..unfortunatly 2 kids since we last went so I can't remember where exactly it is! I love all the modern architecture so I would also recomend the pyramid enterance to the louvre and going up la defance (sp?) for a fab view.
I am jealous
