its been busy but fun, with predominantly lovely weather although we experienced gales like I have never experienced before in wanaka, with the wind billowing up over the lake and throwing itself against our poor little tent, which held up well considering. at 4am I told Paul we were staying in a backpackers that night, which we duly did!
we walked up to a viewpoint of the Rob Roy glacier yesterday which was fantastic, the scenery really does take your breath away.
we're now in Te Anau and putting into place plans to visit some of the various areas around here, although today it is just too darn hot to do very much at all. weird, considering I have just been looking at pictures of snow and flooding in gloucestershire on the bbc news website ;-)

I'd love to be somewhere where it was too hot to do anything rather than the opposite. At least no one is wasting money on heating in that case.
