The tree's up, my nose is running and I'm having mince pie cravings... it must be christmas!!! wahey!

so my thoughts turn to jigsaws and christmas telly. What are the best christmas films? my top five.:

1 - Muppet christmas carol (it's the best!)
2 - the man in the Santa Claus suit. (not been on the Tv in years but I loved it as a kid)
3 - Gremlins
4 - A Christmas carol (any other version!).
5 - Flash Gordon

simply having a wonderful christmas time

Friday Friday Friday. Dontcha just love’it.

Although I have to say my throat has seen better days and I’m feeling a little under the weather, but nothing so serious as to stop me from hitting the free bar at the Work Christmas party with enthusiasm tomorrow night.. Trust me, it’s in my job description to mingle with the employees…..

So last weekend was busy, flying out to Munich for the weekend for a spot of festive spirit. The weather on the Saturday was bitingly cold so we wrapped ourselves up and trooped round the Christmas markets, up the town hall tower, round the odd church and in and out of the occasional drinking establishment. The markets were lovely, the one based in the “English Garden” especially, which had a brass band playing carols which really added to the atmosphere. The food and wine were rather nice too!

One particular market sold almost exclusively nativity scene stuff. It’s amazing how much you can put in a nativity scene. I’m struggling to recall the critical part played by a garden rake in the story of Jesus’ birth but they were definitely there on sale. To be fair, it’s a while since I read my bible so perhaps I’m a little out of touch. To be fair, t hey had some cool electric Star of Bethlehem’s!
